Julienas Chaintré Heritage 2022
Juliénas Chaintré is in the northern part of Beaujolais and is a beautiful part of France. We are big fans of the wines produced by this co-op and would never have a second thought about recommending them. Isabelle Picoud is at the helm as CEO and Lucy was lucky enough to visit this cave and see the wine being made. Isabelle isn’t just a CEO, she is also a winemaker herself and has a hand in the production of these wines. This is a bigger gamay that has complexity and depth. This wine won a silver medal in 2023 and we think it is delightful.
Tasting: Candied black fruits and spices with hints of caramel
Pairings: Charcuterie boards, veal, pork, poultry, pasta, and spicy meats
