Lucien Albrecht Alsace Grand Cru Pinot Gris Spiegel 2017
Located between Guebwiller and Bergholtz, in the southern part of the Alsace Wine Route, the Grand Cru Spiegel is located on a medium slope and has sandy-clay soils covered with sandstone pebbles and has an incredible reputation for high quality wines. These old, low-yielding vines have produced impressive quality in the 2017 vintage with good levels of acidity, beautiful balance, and beautiful maturity. This one can also be enjoyed now or kept for 3-15 years. This is a medium-sweet Pinot Gris.
Tasting: It develops a refined nose with aromas of candied fruits (quince, pear), fig and dried apricot. The palate is ample, and presents the same flavours.
Pairings: This wine will match well veal tajine with figs, apricot rosemary pie, foie gras with quince gelée.
