Château Chillac Vineyard
Located on the hillsides, Château Chillac is a medieval castle which has had several owners and certain periods of looting. Today, a dovecote, loopholes, the remains of a Levi bridge, stone columns, towers, sculpted doors, a chapel doors are among the many vestiges left from this era of prosperity.
Today, there remains a very beautiful stone residence with its outbuildings, its tower and its cellar forming an enclosure. Many legends travel through the centuries and are passed down from generation to generation about the castle. Vineyards, woods and meadows have always surrounded Chillac and today the castle belongs to Christelle, Laurent and their two daughters Charlotte and Anne who are the 6th generation on the Chillac estate.

The Vineyard
A multitude of soils make up our plots. Sometimes clay-limestone, sandy, sometimes stony, in maximum exposure to draw in the sun in order to reach the right maturity, we kindly exploit the qualities of all natural contributions for a wine as close as possible to nature. Here are the values passed down from Guy to his son Laurent. Taste, love and respect for the work from the plantation to the aging of our wines in our cellars.
Organic farming and biodynamics
The vineyard is in complete harmony with the surrounding elements. We replant hedges and trees every year to promote biodiversity. Sowing of cereals in the rows to compete with grass, reduction of mechanical passages, multiple decisions are taken in order to contribute to healthier soil. The management of humus, water and organic matter are also a priority to promote microbial life in the soil as much as possible. Concerned about our land and its future, we are constantly evolving in order to live as close as possible to our nature, and the annual certifications prove our commitment to our vineyard, providing confirmation of our values to our work.

Laurent - Winemaker
Laurent, a passionate winemaker committed to the world of wine, organic farming and biodynamics, has only evolved since his adolescence towards a respect for nature in his profession. Constantly evolving due to change and global warming, Laurent draws his energy from it.
Charlotte - Oldest Daughter
Charlotte, begins her studies in the environment and wine sector at the Saint Émilion mountain high school, this apprenticeship will allow her to complete the basics acquired in the family farm day by day alongside her parents and her younger sister.
Ann - Youngest Daughter
Anne, from her first steps, walks the rows of vines harvesting the grapes, and participates in the production of juice in the cellar, this path innate from a young age makes it a clear destiny…
Christelle - Winemaker
Christelle, since her early childhood with her grandparents and winegrower parents, and through the passion transmitted by her husband Laurent, enthusiasm has only grown. The opening of 3 charming cottages in the heart of the Château Chillac property is the culmination of a family project.
