Alma Cersius Gardian
When we first tried this wine, it was just easy to drink and enjoyable on the palate. A reliable example of what a Languedoc wine can be, well balanced, easy to drink without any being overpowering. This wine won 3 gold medals and a silver medal in 2024. Alma Cersius started off as 3 separate vineyards who came together with the same passion and ideas to create some great wines in the Languedoc region in the South of France.
We also liked the fact that this group of vignerons are committed to the environment. They have achieved the HEV3 level of certification which demonstrates their commitment to respecting the terroir that supports their livelihood.
Tasting: Wild strawberry, blueberry, with some lovely spices to round it out with some subtle roasted notes at the end
Pairings: Goes well with a charcuterie board, grilled red meat and hard cheeses
