Beaujardin Touraine Chenonceaux
When you visit this cellar, it feels like you’re in fairytale French countryside. Tree lined roads, beautiful rivers and streams and vines all around as you drive into the village of Bléré. It’s the picture of beauty and tranquillity.
Made with Sauvignon Blanc similar to its better known neighbour, Sancerre, Touraine Chenonceaux is an upcoming appellation of the Loire valley, where grapes must be grown on gentle slopes near the river, and cannot be sheltered by forest. In addition, the appellation is only given to wine that pass a blind tasting of the winemakers, that select the best among themselves. It is a very nice expression of the Sauvignon, well balanced, mineral with floral and exotic notes.
Tasting: Fresh with notes of citrus and exotic fruits.
Pairings: Grilled fish, salads and for an aperitif.
