Chateau La Renaudie Pecharmant 2022
The wine from this small, 32 acre vineyard is charming, like its name, Pécharmant (means charming hill in French). Located near the city of Bergerac in the Pécharmant AOP, this region has been producing wine since the 11th century. This vineyard is owned by the Foucauld family and has a long tradition of wine making and in modern times they are a certified HEV3 sustainable producer of wine. This wine has medium tannins, medium acidity and a medium finish. A little bit of fruitiness, but no sweetness and a medium body. This combination makes this wine easy to drink on it’s own or pairs perfectly with red meat or a strong cheese.
Tasting: Blackcurrants, currants, raspberries, vegetal and minerals, toasty oak, vanilla, spices
Pairings: Red meats and cheeses.
