Lucien Albrecht Alsace Grand Cru Riesling Spiegel 2022
Lucy’s good friend Alexia is the international export manager for this company and when she talks about wine, we listen. And who can say no to a Grand Cru? Grand Crus are special for a reason and this bottle is no exception. All the grapes are hand-picked and are grown on some of the best land in Alsace. This bottle can be aged up to 5 years, but who wants to wait that long? It’s an absolute delight to drink and you won’t be disappointed.
Tasting: The nose opens on notes of citrus zest, gun stone, mineral and eucalyptus. The palate is ample, with a beautiful freshness, enhanced by the flavour of pomelos.
Pairings: Great with shellfish or sushi, grilled fish, roasted poultry, escargot, pasta with lemon pesto, traditional Alsace dishes and fresh goats cheese.
