Montlouis-sur-Loire Premières Terres
This is another winner from the Loire valley. Are we a bit biased… well, yes, probably, but you can’t go wrong with this fresh, beautiful expression from the chenin heartland. Maison Laudacius have been front runners in the movement to sustainable viticulture and they have a strong commitment to the environment and they have been labelled Terra Vitis. This means they are certified for responsible viticulture. The first vines were planted in 1915 until 1945 and have been grown without herbicides since 2016. We are also a big fan of the Director, Etienne who was a great host at Wine Paris this year.
This cuvée comes from Frédéric, a 30-year-old winegrower, who until recently, rented his vines. He was moved to tears this year because he bought his first plot this year, where this cuvée comes from. First hectare in ownership. First Lands…
This vineyard is also Terre Vitis certified.
Tasting: Citrus with a touch of minerality.
Pairings: Goes well with grilled white fish.
