Yura Jurancon Sec 2022
This white wine has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points and a 91/100 from Decanter. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng from the region South West France in France. A real Pyrenees wine, with liveliness and a robust acid line. The wine can be drunk young, but certainly has storage potential. After a few years of storage, the aromas evolve to more complexity with fresh notes of crumple wood, herbs and flint. Say Yes to the Yura from the Jurancon! Perhaps unknown but certainly not unloved.
Tasting: White peach, yellow apple and crispy pear bordered by apple blossom and chamomile. Delicious spicy aftertaste and good length
Pairings: Great as an aperitif with charcuterie, white meat or poached pike perch with zucchini and a beurre blanc, mountain cheeses also go very well with dry Jurançon
